Lot 1:
Vintage Modernist Electric Kettle (Working Order)
Description
Designed in the post world war 2 era by Fred Moffatt, who was one of Canada’s first industrial designers. Manufactured by Canadian General Electric Company. This “truly Canadian” kettle represented a giant leap in the relationship between design and functionality in the mid 50’s. The designer recycled a headlight from a pre-war car, which was flipped over to create the basis of the design for a usable kettle. This kettle does have some light scratches and could do with a descaling however it works fine and looks good
